soak

Just a quick dunk for number two of the Autumn sweaters, inside out, getting the wash & dry blocking , then they’ll be all done.  This is actually a very big deal, because I stressed over these for a couple of months delaying in and around other things, really important things (like moving, and designing a holiday tam) , and now they are finally finished and ready for my nieces for a December photo shoot against the stone in St Helena!

And if that is not good news enough , if you’ll excuse me, I must get to work gathering up and raking out the ditches in the new road to test the run off for we are expecting quite a soaking, having a big rain storm on its way !!!

  1. It sure is soaking outside. I’m sooo happy to see the rain. Goddess must have heard my rain song this morning. Can’t wait to see the sweaters on the girls. Blessings.💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦

  2. While I am glad to have you have finished the sweater, and I love the holiday tam, I am most excited to hear that you will get rain. I hope you get the perfect amount – no flash flooding, nor roads washing away, but everything sparkling clean and smelling good, ground nice and damp. And fires out. All fires out. All over the area. Let’s end this fire season once and for all.

    • Sarah, the rain has come as though it didn’t have a care in the world how late it showed up. Rained super hard, but then stopped. Couple of days rest, and more to come full vengience… but no complaints here. I hope you’re staying warm in your Northeasterly Climate! xx

      • So glad it rained!!! Did the road hold up? We are warm and cozy. We got one of those wintery mix storms that started as rain and ended as snow, so the world looked sugar coated yesterday. Something big is coming Monday, but I don’t know if it will be snow or rain. 5 more months of this before the world turns green again.

        • Sounds lovely in your world, cozy looking out the window at the white fluff and sugar coated. Now more than a week later, my report is that here we started our rain with snow , in a bit of a cold snap for November, and then it warmed up to rain, which we’ve been having pretty steady now for about 3 or 4 days. Our road is draining that water wonderfully as it is all sloped and so wow… that is amazing. Every rainy season we’d have to go out with shovels and chase the run off and fight it to get to the side and still in the end the road was like a creekbed . No more! May you and A. enjoy your December! xx

          • I am glad that the toad drained well! It had better, right?

Our cold and snow are here for a while, just a crunchy few inches. Travel was nasty one day but now is fine until the next time. 🤞

I'd love to hear what you have to say...
