Dazzled by the spirit of the holiday, and all that I’ve been busy with.
I can’t believe this pile of gifts I made . . .
(( My heart is about to burst with pride that I sure turned around when I thought I could only manage the kitty which got sent off over two weeks ago, and the felted bag which went to Mexico with Jeff. ))
Since then I really went into making overdrive.
All of my hand-made Christmas gifts are finished, as of yesterday, and tucked under the tree, waiting for family to gather. I hate to seem all smug & self-satisfied, but now that I am finished, I can’t help but just be elated, and enjoy myself !!! This folks, is not something that happens every Christmas, as I am usually always making up into Christmas Day itself, and beyond. But this year…. I just put my nose to the grindstone and did it.
( Interesting lights photo at top of page was accidentally shot while I was moving in front of our Christmas tree. )
Sending out loads of love and encouragement to all those elves busy still making, hoping all gets finished and that you may too relax ! ~~ xx.
Congratulations! It is a good feeling to finish a handmade give and see it wrapped, ready to be given (or shipped). One thing I have tried to learn to do is be realistic with the gift(s) knitted. At least about the pattern and the time involved. This year I kept it simple. Now I already have plans for more ambitious gifts next year. Merry Christmas!
Thank you Claudia, and I agree to the rule Keep It Simple. Scarves, fast hats… they can realistically be finished in a reasonable time . One day I hope to get more complicated things made, but somehow birthdays are always somehow easier, because they come one at a time. Merry Christmas to you! xx
Mission accomplished! Well done, you!
What a great feeling to ‘just do it’.
OH LIZ … I just now got your tree-shaped package in the post !!!! 🙂
xxx !
Sometimes, you just deserve to feel smug and self satisfied…and I’d say this is one of those times! Really well done! 😀
I agree Pia…. thank you for encouraging my smugness. 🙂 🙂 xx
Congratulations! That is a feat in itself. I bet it feels good. Wonderful even. I have been MIA for a while, but have to catch up on your posts. I’ll have time today, to catch up and read. I think you are so creative, its amazing. You’re amazing, Jen, and I wish I had your determination to be done by Christmas. I have still a lot to do. But enjoy your relaxation time and a job well done! I think the presents look so pretty.
Yes my dear Martha, I’ve been wondering where you’ve been. Awww, so sweet with your praise, as always, but you my dear are amazing ! Merriest of holidays to you and Oreo 🙂 xx
