High summer.

This morning I went for a walk with Juno, in the hot . . . dry . . . toasted-in-the-sun wild grass of high summer. I so very much want to capture it and knit it into a sweater! These are moments of this afternoon, as my ideas begin stirring, testing all gold tones together, trying to grasp the emotion I feel about the summer landscape that is elemental to my life on the mountain, and translate it into yarn.

    • You know the landscape every bit as much as me, and to come from you, that means success. My plan is then to card the gold-brown tones into the white fleece I have been cleaning and picking, then it will be much more subdued. Thank you, and as always, see you round the corner, heh heh. xx

      • I can’t believe all the work you’ve put into that fleece. The lighter color will make the colors look like the gold grass looks when the midday glare hits it. Streaks of pure sunlight……see you down the dell! LOL xoxo

I'd love to hear what you have to say...
